The new Butterfly retractable fabric Pergola from Outdoor StudioDesign is an innovative version of the Alba that incorporates a new pantograph cover mechanism with a fabric that folds upwards.
The Butterfly Pergola won the prize for innovation and technology in Stuttgart in 2024.

The Alba Butterfly system from Outdoor StudioDesign is exceptionally waterproof.
In tests under heavy rainfall, its performance far exceeded the Class 2 standards of EN 13561:2015, which specifies a value of 56 l/h/m2.
In fact, values of up to 300 l/h/m2 were recorded, equivalent to around 11,000 l/h over the maximum coverage.
Tubes with full-radius calendering ensure optimum watertightness of the fabric, while the rainwater drainage system considerably reduces the risk of dripping inside the pergola.
Practical & Compact
This new pantograph system uses aluminium rods to support the fabric tubes, allowing the fabric to be packed upwards.
Unlike the Pergotenda® system, which folds the fabric downwards, the Butterfly system leaves all the space underneath free.
Thanks to pantograph technology, the dimensions of the fully-packed fabric are reduced by up to 40% compared with the same size Pergotenda® system, considerably reducing the amount of space required.
